FAQs
How does the composter work?
Our composter uses a microbial decomposition system to break down food waste into nutrient-rich compost. Natural microbes help accelerate the breakdown process while the machine maintains optimal temperature, aeration, and mixing.
For quick waste reduction, you can also switch to the Drying Mode, which dehydrates and grinds food scraps in a few hours.
Is this real composting or just drying food waste?
Unlike many countertop composters that only dry and grind food waste, our system uses beneficial microbes to break down organic matter naturally.
This means your food scraps are biologically decomposed, not just dehydrated.
Can I keep adding food scraps every day?
Yes. The composter supports continuous composting. You can keep adding food scraps daily as long as the bucket does not exceed its maximum capacity.
How long does it take to process food waste?
- Microbial Mode: about 12 hours for active decomposition cycles
- Drying Mode: about 5–6 hours for fast dehydration
What kind of food waste can I put inside?
You can add most common kitchen scraps such as:
- Fruit and vegetable scraps
- Coffee grounds
- Eggshells
- Bread and grains
- Small amounts of cooked food
What should NOT be placed in the composter?
Please avoid:
- Large bones
- Shellfish shells
- Glass or metal
- Cigarette butts
- Plastic or packaging
- Excess oil or liquid
These items may damage the machine or slow down decomposition.
Will the composter smell?
The machine is designed with an activated carbon filter to reduce odors.
When used properly, there should be minimal to no noticeable smell in your kitchen.
How loud is the machine?
The noise level is around 35 dB, which is similar to a dishwasher or normal conversation.
Do I need to replace the microbes?
Yes, but very infrequently.
One microbial tablet can last up to 6 months under normal usage.
